Located in Khon Kaen Province, Thailand , the hospital was built in the 1980s to address the growing rural medical problems . It covers an area of 151.6 acres. The hospital's operations, from life support systems to various daily medical equipment, are inseparable from power support. To meet the growing energy demand, the hospital installed a rooftop PV system. Given the dense population in the park and the activities of patients and medical staff all year round, the safety of PV power becomes crucial. In addition, since the components are distributed on multiple different roofs, the operation and maintenance and management of the system are more difficult. Therefore, the hospital attaches great importance to the advanced management of PV power stations.
For this reason, Thanyarak Khonkaen Hospital chose AndSolar Smart PV Energy Solution. A total of 194.2 kW was installed in this project , covering the main buildings of the hospital . This not only ensures the safety of life and property of medical staff and patients, but also realizes the smart management of the PV system through the AndSolar Cloud platform , achieving full life cycle monitoring at the module level .
After the power station is equipped with a module level smart RSD, the system safety is guaranteed. AndSolar RSD is a module-level RSD, which not only enables the PV system to meet the rapid shutdown capability required by the local Thai regulations "Thai Electrical Code: Solar Rooftop Power Supply Installations 2022", but also has multiple shutdown methods such as high-temperature active shutdown, on-site manual shutdown, and APP remote shutdown to maximize system safety. When an emergency or system abnormality is detected, the RSD can immediately cut off the power supply and reduce the system voltage to a safe level of below 80v within 30 seconds, thereby effectively protecting the safety of on-site personnel.
Through the smart cloud platform, a 1:1 digital twin power station can be generated in the cloud, and data such as voltage, current, power, power generation and temperature of each PV modules distributed on different roofs can be monitored in real time. The operation details of the power station can be easily viewed at a glance, and the faulty point can be easily located. The platform also offered a remote shutdown function, which can manage the system at any time and place, providing user the simple and efficient power station maintenance. The fault warning function can detect and warn of possible system problems or failures in advance, effectively preventing accidents and allowing the power station to prevent problems before they become bigger issue.
During the installation of the PV project at Thanyarak Khonkaen Hospital, we first faced the challenges brought by Thailand's strong sunlight and high temperatures. These conditions placed extremely high demands on the performance and durability of the equipment. The product design of AndSolar meets the flame retardant V-0 standard and the Ingress Protection Rating of IP68 , which can maintain stable operation even in extreme environments. In addition, the RSD supports two installation methods: clip and bolt. This time, the more convenient clip installation method was chosen, and each product only takes an average of 30 seconds to install. Finally, under the on-site guidance of the professional team of AndSolar, the system installation and commissioning were completed, ensuring the smooth completion of the project and the long-term stable operation of the system.
